Pick the split that suits you
Plenty of couples split everything 50/50. Others prefer to split by income so the bills weigh the same on both. Hisaab Kitaab does either: split equally, by percentage (for example 60/40), or by exact amounts when one of you only had the starter. Not sure what's fair? The free split calculator works out income-based percentages for you.
Your money, not a joint account
Each of you pays with your own card as usual. Log the expense, and Hisaab Kitaab keeps a running balance of who is ahead. Personal spending stays in each person's own personal account, separate from the shared one.
Monthly bills on autopilot
Rent or mortgage, utilities, insurance and subscriptions can be recurring expenses that post themselves each month. Add a monthly budget for groceries or eating out and get an alert at 80% and 100%.
See where it goes
The reports show spending by category and by person for any period, plus a 12-month trend. Export everything to CSV if you like your own spreadsheet.
Settle up in one payment
At the end of the month there is one number: who pays whom, and how much. Tap the partner's PayPal, Venmo, Revolut, Monzo or UPI link, pay, and record it. They confirm, and you're even.
